NFL Week 2 Picks

Alright, so last week I missed a pick for Thursday and then the teams I thought were gonna be great...either came real close (Bucs....smh) or just not at all (Browns......smh)....BUT...its another week, another chance to be great.

Week 1:
9-16 picks correct
40.8% Season Percentage

Jets @ Patriots --- Patriots. Patriots are so banged up but the Jets are terrible. Even with they're grace from God himself win last Sunday, they're bad. Will Geno step up to the cause in the national spotlight tonight? I don't think so, Tom Brady takes his no-name WRs to victory.

Rams @ Falcons --- Falcons. The Falcons offense looked good enough to win against the Saints, but sorely missed a healthy Roddy White. He'll likely suit up again this week but hopefully can make a better impact. The Rams in their victory played better than most expected. Their kicker proved again why they call him "Legatron". I think Falcons in a close one.

Panthers @ Bills --- Panthers. Sheesh Carolina, how do you let me down when I picked you all to upset the Seahawks. I expected a tight game yes, but not Cam Newton and the guys to only put up 7 points. Which I think is indicative of how good that Seahawks defense really is.

Vikings @ Bears --- Bears. The Vikings managed to shut Megatron down which is a good sign. Adrian Peterson is already running like there was no offseason. All great signs around these parts. How will Ponder react to the Bears stingy takeaway prone defense? Peanut shall be waiting, Bears win.

Browns @ Ravens --- Ravens. Weeden looked pretty horrible with his 3-INT performance. I'm not expecting similar results from the Browns week in & week out, but even with a better outing, I think the Ravens will be much better than that showing in Denver. Marlon Brown looks like a decent replacement for Jacoby Jones who will be out 4-6 weeks. I expect to see much more from Torrey Smith in this game as well. AND SOMEBODY PLEASE GET ED DICKSON SOME GLOVES...AND STICK'EM...PLEASE!

Cowboys @ Chiefs --- Cowboys. This one could be tricky. Andy Reid knows how to get his teams ready to play the Dallas Cowboys. Alex Smith looked good during the preseason & in his first game. But that was the preseason & against the Jags....who are the equivalent of an NFL Preseason squad. Can they stop the passing attack of the Cowboys which looked pretty good Sunday night? Me thinks......not.

Redskins @ Packers --- Packers. Both teams had a rough time during opening week. Packers couldn't contain the 49ers attack & the Skins had no idea how to slow down the Eagles offensive attack, well before the Eagles decided to slow down. RG3, no matter what he says, is still hurt and/or scared with that there knee of his and will take time for him to be back to normal. Alfred Morris will need to pick up the slack and help his QB.

Titans @ Texans --- Texans. In the midst of that huge comeback late Monday night/Tuesday morning, we saw the Texans team we all expected to see out the gate. If that team comes to play week in & out, the AFC will have some issues on their hands. They're gonna need to continue to develop a complimentary WR opposite A. Johnson to keep defenses honest. Owen Daniels is putting in the work needed in the meantime.

Dolphins @ Colts --- Colts. Tannehill wasn't spectacular be he got the job done. Can he have a repeat performance in Lucas Oil Stadium? Its possible. I just think Andrew Luck will have a better one. Give the nod to the Colts.

Chargers @ Eagles --- Eagles. The high powered offense won't catch the chargers by surprise. But this should still be a good game. The Chargers WRs will have to step up to the plate again like they did against the Texans. I'll take Eagles...by a field goal. SIDENOTE: The eagles are gonna need to start playing a 3rd RB during the game to keep McCoy's legs fresh.

Lions @ Cardinals --- Lions. Look people, people won't be able to stop Megatron every week. I don't expect as bad a performance number-wise from him ever again this season. First victim, the Cardinals DBs. Reggie Bush showed up & showed out and he'll do it again and again. Carson Palmer is airing the rock out and will need another big outing from his 3 WRs to keep up. Lions D-Line will be the difference.

Saints @ Bucs --- Saints. Ok Buccaneers, time to dust the embarrassment off your face. You messed up, big time. But this is the NFL & the next game is already here. The Saints are coming to town, and if you're not up to par, they'll blow by you by the end of the 1st quarter. Is Josh Freeman ready to deliver in the home opener? Not a clue. But I know Drew Brees doesn't need to be asked if he's ready....Gimme the Saints

Broncos @ Giants --- Broncos. Too much Peyton...Manning...that is all.

Jaguars @ Raiders --- Raiders. Pryor is gonna be something special man. Jaguars.....will not...

49ers @ Seahaws --- Seahawks. This game. Seahawks defense will have to step all the way up. & I think they will with the aid of the 12th man. Game of the week, this will be.

Steelers @ Bengals --- Bengals. Lets be clear. Andy Dalton & the Bengals had ZERO business losing to the Bears. And there is revenge to be had. The Steelers are just plain bad. Not Jaguars bad....but still bad.
