NFL Championship Weekend - How It Goes Down

Well fans, here it is, two games to decide who goes to the Super Bowl. Three of these four teams are no stranger to the magnitude of this game. The Atlanta Falcons happen to be the only team who did not participate in "Conference Championship Sunday" last year. They have a most difficult match-up with Colin Kaepernick & the red hot San Francisco 49ers at 3:00. On the other side, the rematch of last years heartbreaking (if you are a Ravens fan) AFC Championship game. Ray Lewis looks down the barrel of what could be his final gun once again as the Ravens take their show on the road once again to New England. After watching both of my super bowl picks, the Broncos & Packers, go down in horrific fashion, I had some time to mull over the remaining four teams and how they matched up against them.

In the early game, the Atlanta Falcons will once again be in the comfort of the Georgia Dome when the niners come to town. How well they'll do against the legs and arm of one Kaepernick is the main question. This one person, along with the emergence of the underrated Crabtree, has turned is team from a balanced offense with a superb defense, to a powerhouse, score at will type offense with a superb defense. Poor Alex Smith, regardless of how this game goes, his days in San Fran are done. But there will be plenty of time in the offseason to talk about that. Lets talk more Sunday.

The Falcons can not have another half like the 2nd one against Seattle or they will find themselves watching the Super Bowl instead of playing in it. If the team that played in the first half comes to play, then this could be a game of epic proportions. BUT!.... I am not expecting that to happen. I am glad to see the Falcons get over the hump, but the show stops here. Too much dominance on both sides of the ball.

HeartLess picks: 49ers 27 - 10

We ask ourselves the same question each and every round of the playoffs year in, and year out. What team has the tools, the scheme, the execution, to rattle Tom Brady & the New England Patriots? He made his 344 yard, 3 TD effort against the Texans look easy last week. Could it be the Ravens? Who knows...I sure don't. After watching two days of jaw-dropping, twitter flooding football last weekend, anything is truly possible.

Stopping the Patriots, however, seems almost impossible. These guys have been the constant in great football and they're looking to finally add another ring to the collection after losing to the Giants (hahahahaha) their last two times out. They're

Ray Lewis and company appear like they're up to the task. The defense bends........heavily..... but comes up with the big play when needed. And I know it pains America to say this...but come on, who throws a better deep ball than Flacco? The balls thrown to Torrey Smith have been right on the money. If Flacco can get the deep ball going, who knows what could happen. Also, Ray Rice.....hold on to the football!!!!!

Karma works in mysterious ways. America was denied the media madness of "The Harbaugh Bowl" last year only to forget about it because of the Giants-Patriots rematch. I think what went around then, comes back now and the Brothers Harbaugh get their dream match-up. Bring on the press, its goin' down!

HeartLess picks: Ravens 23-20.....see what I did there...
